To get the most out of your day and to keep a healthy heart it is recommended that you do at least 30 minutes of exercise a day. This can be anything from country walk to a session at the gym. However latest advice from Cardiac Rehabilitation is that if you are using gym equipment it should be on a manual setting only. Most patients will be prescribed beta blockers which reduces heart rate so should not try to acheive target heart rates which may be advised on some sites., if you don’t have any access to a gym or the weather is not on your side exercise can be achieved by climbing up down a set of stairs or taking a short walk.
